Problem Note 40013: Unpredictable behavior occurs if SAS Data Integration Studio Server Data is not installed on the machine with the metadata server
SAS Data Integration Studio Server Data is a required product component for SAS® Data Integration Studio 4.21 and must be installed on the machine with the metadata server in order for SAS Data Integration Studio to perform properly. If this component is not installed with the metadata server, then various and unpredictable behaviors might occur. Most commonly, the Lookup transformation will become corrupt in jobs. The client does not verify whether this server-side component has been installed or is installed properly. The only way to determine if this component was installed properly is to navigate in SAS Data Integration Studio to the folder as shown in the following display:
If this folder does not exist, then the component was not installed and a new order must be acquired for the metadata server machine which includes the SAS Data Integration Studio Server Data component.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. The hot fix will add functionality to SAS Data Integration Studio to check for the existence of this folder and warn the user if the SAS Data Integration Studio Server Data content is not available.
